Cats are such wonderful pets to have around.  They sit on our laps, purr and cuddle with us on the couch while watching TV.  These lovable fur-babies also can scratch our furniture, rip apart our toilet paper and urinate beside the litterbox, just because.  These issues can cause us to become angry and stressed, but don't give up just yet.  There are solutions to the problems. If you are considering adopting a cat, find out what issues the shelter has already discovered and do your research.  Know that taking on some of these issues can be a lot of work.  If you aren't ready, look for another cat that's right for you.  There are other solutions besides declawing, rehoming, and euthanasia. Never just release a cat into the streets.  If they aren't used to living outdoors, the change can be traumatic for them.  The ASPCA has some wonderful tips on how to help your cat with behavorial problems.  You can follow the link below to view their articles.  Always contact your veterinarian as well.  They will have some great advice and helpful tips for you.
